Steven F. Mosshart, AIF®
President - Chief Investment Strategist
Steve Mosshart was most recently a Senior Vice President with Citigroup. His 22 years in the investment industry as a specialist in personal portfolio management and financial planning resulted in a half a billion dollars in assets under management and over 2,000 families in his care. He recognized the need for active management of 401(k), 403(b), and 457 accounts early on and, with the Department of Labor's 2001 ruling, saw the opportunity to offer individual clients the kind of research and active allocation of their assets previously unavailable while those assets remained within their 401(k) accounts.
Mr. Mosshart has attended numerous advanced investment programs over the years earning several honors at the largest Wall Street firms. In 2006, he was chosen as one of 70 investment managers worldwide to attend the 38th Investment Management Workshop at Harvard Business School. He also has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Executive Education. Mr. Mosshart holds a degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Michael Bisaro, AIF®
VP/Regional Director
Mike Bisaro joined StraightLine in October, 2004. He has presented extensively to employee groups, management, and individuals at universities and corporations across the country in the areas of fiduciary obligations, investment education, and financial planning. Mr. Bisaro has worked on the development and implementation of StraightLine’s participant-level investment management programs at Michigan State University, General Motors, and at the DTE Energy Credit Union. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary professional designation by the Center for Fiduciary Studies which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Executive Education and he is completing his Certified Financial Planner coursework through Boston University. Prior to joining StraightLine in 2004, Mr. Bisaro was a financial consultant and financial planning specialist at Wachovia Securities.
Jason Fisher, AIF®
VP/Regional Director
Jason Fisher joined StraightLine in September, 2004. Experience as a Logistics Coordinator has allowed him to perfect his communication and organizational skills. This experience, followed by time spent in the mortgage industry working closely with over 100 financial planners, has provided him with a solid working foundation. Mr. Fisher utilizes all his skills with his current duties assisting clients from General Motors, Michigan State University, and Marathon Petroleum, to name a few. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary professional designation by the Center for Fiduciary Studies which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Executive Education. Mr. Fisher is a graduate of the University of Toledo.
Bethany W. Mosshart
Director of Administration
Beth Mosshart joined StraightLine in May, 2004. Her experience as Assistant to the Vice President of Sales at Real Estate One, the nation's 12th largest real estate services provider, and at Tomy Toys has given Ms. Mosshart the office management and development experience needed. Years of tutoring in the Troy School District have kept her aware of communication and technical developments. Ms. Mosshart oversees all client billing and outgoing communications. She is a cum laude graduate of Miami University Oxford, Ohio.
Doris C. Karras, IACCPsm
Chief Compliance Officer
Doris Karras joined StraightLine in September, 2005. She has worked in the financial industry for over 25 years and became a fully licensed and registered financial adviser with Morgan Stanley in 1997 as well as achieving the financial planning specialist designation at Citigroup Global. Ms. Karras has overseen the communication and compliance duties for clients at Morgan Stanley and Citigroup and is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of client communication at StraightLine. She also has extensive experience with the ongoing compliance requirements of the SEC. Ms. Karras graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Walsh College with a major in Finance.
Gaurav "Sonny" Mehra
Research Director
Gaurav Mehra joined StraightLine in May, 2006 to assist with research and analysis. Mr. Mehra graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. His current assignment as Research Director utilizes his background and his fine analytical and technical skills to develop economic outlooks and portfolio allocations.
